We really enjoyed our summer vacation. The food was delicious and the staff friendly.

Very nice ambience, delicious food at a reasonable price and the service was quick and very friendly. We would love to come back!

So the best location is definitely not on the Königssee! The service started strong, but unfortunately also decreased a lot, even though it wasn't particularly busy. The portion of the schnitzel was rather manageable and the knuckle was cold. In addition, it was not fresh food, but rather frozen ready-made food. The second drink round was forgotten and only came after a new memory. For us there are definitely better restaurants on the Königssee.

...... the conditions were nice but seldom seen. Forgot to reorder drinks completely. The food was mediocre ... Portion quite well arranged - taste well ... and the dessert was unfortunately canceled due to an emergency (whatever). We will definitely not be back!

Very tasty trout with German potatoes and a nice green salad; prices also affordable. A slight minus for only one person in the room, which at lunchtime requires a moment to wait, but I still recommend it.

Very pleasant rustic ambience. Staff very friendly and orderly on the way. The beer tasted a bit bland, but this is the only negative point. Otherwise the food is perfect. At our own request, we each received an entire knuckle of pork for € 17.90. It tasted great and actually too much for one person, but we were warned about that. Nevertheless, there was a dessert, which was also nothing to complain about. The price / performance ratio is therefore excellent. We would definitely come again!

One of the most beautiful restaurants on the Königssee! Here you can feel completely at ease. Food was great and the service was very friendly and courteous. Reservation recommended in summer / autumn.

We were in Schönau for a week and ate there 5 out of 6 evenings. Super friendly and attentive service, great food and fair prices. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back. Many thanks to the great team.

Delicious schnitzels! Breathtaking views. Friendly service. Only one sad thing was that glass of sparkling wine was billed as 17.10€ instead of 3€, luckily I checked invoice. Everything else were great!

absolutely amazing

Certainly a good choice in the very touristy Schönau. The food was absolutely fine and the beer was very good too. We found the prices reasonable. One of the few bars on the Lake Constance-Königseeradweg where the beer glass is really filled. The service was very friendly but also very busy. Clear recommendation. Better to reserve.

17-23.08.2020 Clearly the best restaurant on the Königssee. Whether knuckle, pretzel schnitzel or other dishes, everything is freshly prepared and tastes very, very tasty. All waitresses are polite, funny and have a loving Bavarian charm. A reservation is required from 6pm. This shows the popularity of the guests and locals. Take-away meals were also ready on time and, as expected, tasted excellent. I would like to give more stars. Conclusion: absolutely recommendable!

Nice place. We liked it so much! Everyone is so friendly, drinks and food come quickly and everything was delicious! In addition, there is a cozy atmosphere. Everything perfect.

Friendly staff in traditional outfits. Good food, nice beer. Try the "bergfeuer schnapps". Cozy looking inside and a nice big terrace to enjoy in summer.

Good Bavarian food

Very nice, can always recommend. Good for a snack and a drink. Nice ambiente and friendly staff. Make sure to come early as it can be full during peak hours. Highly recommend the place. I always enjoy myself and feel welcome here. Keep up the good work. Sometimes the wasps are a bit annoying but nothing the restaurant can do about it :)

Wash room has no sigbn except german. To a place full of tourist, its very inconvenient. Food is ok. Service is super slow.

Fantastic place with a great, reasonably priced menu. We were so happy with the quality of the food and the truly excellent service, we visited this place three times in two days!!! Menu has traditional Bavarian food and some healthy options - the daily menu was also excellent. Everything was around 9-14 euros. Definitely visit this place if you're passing through Schönau! And don't forget to say hello to the neighbouring goats!

After a nice hike this place was right on point. A quick snack and a cold drink then it was back to the main port of the lake.

The food here was great, a delicious treat after visiting the Konigsee and Obersee lakes. The prices good (they also had kids' portions, though mainly accompanied by fries). To drink we had a local herb drink, quite refreshing in the summer. There is a small goat farm right next to it, and the goats and ducks there roam around freely.

Woah, this place is amazing!! After exploring Salzburg, then hiking around Königssee, we were very, very hungry. We stumbled upon this place and we are glad we did. It is a super cozy place with excellent service and fantastic food. When we went it was the day before Christmas, and the Heute was decorated festevly. Our waitress was very friendly and had a smile the whole time. The food and beer was amazing. The bathrooms were also very clean as well. The whole experience was unreal. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. If you want a true Bavarian dinner after exploring the Alps then this is your place!!!

Good traditional menu! Gulasch is super!

We passed by this traditional restaurant after doing the Malerwinkel hiking tour and we were fascinated by the wooden and lovely design of this place. So we decided to stop for a cappucino and we did not regret it. Although the prices we saw on the menu were a bit elevated, we felt that it was totally reasonable given its touristic location. Nevertheless we felt that this place was quite far away from the real touristic hustle and bustle. In the end we managed to chill and relax there. Service was friendly.

Great food after some hiking with a recommended Kaiserschmarn. Great view and if you are lucky some birds may join your dinner to steal some food. Quite entertaining. Also great staff, quick service, clean toilets, at the end of Malerwinkel-Hikingtrail
